Overview
At Barley Close, we offer specialist care and support for up to 10 people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, epilepsy, and other associated complex needs.
Our detached farmhouse embodies the rustic charm Devon is renowned for. Our home has been thoughtfully adapted to cater to the needs of the individuals we support, and each bedroom is spacious and comfortable, complete with en-suite facilities. All ground floor bedrooms are wheelchair accessible and equipped with ceiling tracking to assist those with additional mobility requirements.
Our home offers a variety of communal spaces, including a lounge, dining area, kitchen, expansive garden, sensory room, and a conservatory that acts as a craft room. Our functional garden features a dedicated herb patch for gardening enthusiasts and a large patio area for relaxation while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Every aspect of Barley Close is meticulously designed to address the diverse needs of the people we support, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. We also offer features such as a training kitchen with low-level worktops, facilitating easy participation in meal preparation for those we support.
Located in the charming county of Devon, our home is close to the iconic Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. A breath-taking stretch of historic beach, it provides a perfect spot for days out. We're also close to many local amenities, such as pubs, shops and cafes and we actively encourage the people we support to explore the local community, empowering people to develop valuable independent living skills.
