Overview

Deangate Care Home is a gem of a home in the Mapplewell area of Barnsley. The home is purpose-built and has just under 50 cosy bedrooms, all of which have their own en suite facilities. The sunny, spacious lounges and dining rooms overlook the home's gardens. And the home has a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission.

We provide residential care for people who have become too frail to look after themselves and specialist care for those who are living with dementia. In addition, we support short stay services; Respite and Day care. We work closely with the teams at local hospitals and support discharge to assess placements as well as intermediate care and rehabilitation periods.

Our dedicated activities coordinator tailors wonderful events, activities and outings around residents and their interests. In the summer months we encourage residents to enjoy the extensive gardens, where many people relish the opportunity to grow their own flowers and vegetables. Family members and friends are always welcome to visit and to participate in events too. The home is part of the Barnsley 'Love to Move' initiative and has recently set up free chair-based activity sessions for members of the Mapplewell community at the local church hall.

Our catering team produces delicious home cooked food from a 5-star hygiene rated kitchen. Special dietary needs and personal preferences are part of this taste-laden service.

Deangate is a caring home-from-home so pop in for a visit today.
