Overview

Burdon Grange Care Home is a residential and nursing home in the Highampton area of Beaworthy, which can accommodate 31 residents. Care can be provided for those with learning disabilities. It is also suitable for young people with physical disabilities. Burdon Grange Care Home also offers the following short stay services; respite care and rehabilitation.

We are a forward thinking home which provides fully holistic care for residents aged 18 and above. We provide 24 hour nursing care for residents with a physical disability specialising in all aspects of neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries and we also offer slow stream rehabilitation encompassing physical, social and emotional care needs. Working closely with all aspects of Multi disciplinary professionals.

Our team of Nurses have experience of caring for people who have complex and challenging health care needs. We are proud to have evolved into a unique nursing/ socialised environment where we manage tracheotomies, 24 hour humidification , PEG lines, venepuncture and catheterisation. Whilst managing in a proactive and progressive way all manner of disabilities and acute and long term conditions .

All our professionals are supported by NHS therapists, Consultants and their Specialist teams.

At Burdon Grange we are pleased to have attained an extremely positive relationship with an extensive team of Therapists, Specialists and Consultants within the NHS and have worked closely with the Mardon Centre and Plym Neuro Rehab unit. We believe that this unique merger of diverse professions and specialities offer our residents significant rehabilitation opportunities and support.

Our team is driven and supported by our Physio Therapist and they provide a very wide and varied activity programme which is resident centred.

Our activity programme includes sensory activities, group activities, 1:1 sessions and many trips.

We have full time drivers to drive our 3 adapted vehicles which include 2 minibuses our trips
