Overview
Doddlespool Hall Care Home is an exclusive residential Home on the borders of Cheshire and Staffordshire, on the edge of the picturesque village of Betley, just outside Newcastle Under Lyme. The building dates back to the 17th Century, with Victorian additions and tastefully modernised to become care home in 1985. Doddlespool Hall is a small home, registered for 25 residents, with 21 EnSuite rooms, 4 of which are large double rooms. The care and support offered is of the highest quality and is totally tailored to the individual's needs, providing a warm, comfortable and caring environment in which individuals are encouraged to live life to the full, within their capabilities. Our fundamental aim is to create an inviting, home-from-home atmosphere, and our dedicated staff are committed to supporting residents with their personal care needs, in peaceful and relaxing surroundings.
Bedrooms are individually decorated and fully furnished, however allowances can be made if residents wish to bring their own furniture, to help personalise their own space. We have Wi-Fi throughout the building, and Smart televisions in each room.
We have a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Care can be provided for general residential, those living with dementia and mental health needs. It can also offer short stay, respite and day care.
Doddlespool Hall's experienced catering staff produce delicious homemade dishes which take into full consideration each resident's nutritional requirements. We can cater for special dietary needs and preferences. All our food is freshly prepared using the finest locally sourced ingredients, or own grown produce from our luxurious grounds.
You can enjoy Doddlespool Hall Care Home's large grounds and gardens, or spend time in one of our 3 lounges, or dining room. This home places a focus on resident wellbeing and offers indoor activities, outings and daily newspapers. There is wheelchair access to our ground floor communal areas and bedrooms, and a lift to access our first floor rooms and large landing space. Here you can sit and relax in our library area, or enjoy a coffee and home baked piece of cake, in our small bistro area. We have a hairdresser that visits each week, and regular visits from the physiotherapy team, opticians, dentistry, and private chiropody services. We have a varied and extensive activities programme, offering a range of events form music and movement, themed days, reminiscence activities, to outside musical entertainers and theatre productions. Pets are welcome throughout the home and in rooms.
Doddlespool Hall operates an open door policy, where families and friends are always welcome.
Doddlespool Hall is close to local amenities, with good travel links with a bus station and a train station close to the home, with a bus stop located at the end of our drive, and local taxi companies supporting the home.
