Overview
Parkview is a popular elderly care home in Bexleyheath with a welcoming atmosphere and is well supported by the local community. At the heart of Parkview is our philosophy of care, the Eden Alternative (Awarded Silver), where staff encourage social interaction, engagement and work towards the eradication of loneliness and boredom. Residents at Parkview are supported to take part in activities, go out on day trips and socialise with other residents and staff.
The lounges and dining areas all look out to the pretty courtyard garden that residents are encouraged to use. Residents can visit the gardens to while away a peaceful afternoon, or join in with the daily programme of activities throughout the home. There is a visitor cabin in the grounds which is available for families to use to meet their loved ones safely in a warm, friendly and Covid19 compliant environment.
The dining experience is an important part of life at Parkview. The experienced catering staff prepare fresh meals throughout the day that are nutritious and cater to the dietary and cultural desires of the residents.
There are communal tablets available for residents wanting to browse the internet or communicate with loved ones through email or video.
Many of the bedrooms at Parkview benefit from en-suite facilities and have been individually decorated to provide comfort and relaxation. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small pieces of furniture from their homes to make it feel more homely.
All laundry is included and managed by the homes domestic team but should residents wish to continue independently with daily tasks such as cleaning and laundry there’s always practical support available from staff to do so.
Parkview offers a respite care service that gives family carers or caregivers the chance to have a break from caring, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off.
Parkview has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Parkview also offers the following short stay services; respite care.
