Overview
Crosshill Nursing Home is a purpose built care home in the Stanhope area of Bishop Auckland, which can accommodate up to 30 residents - It is a Local Authority accredited 'band 1' care home with an excellent reputation and is rated 'Good' with the CQC. It provides 24/7 care for adults over the age of 18yrs who are frail, have physical problems / difficulties, dementia and/or mental health needs and it also offers the following: short stay services; respite care, intermediate care, rehabilitation and End of Life Care (GSF accredited).
The building is primarily on 1 level which facilitates easy access. All bedrooms and many communal areas have H ceiling tracking. The home has many facilities including high low beds, profiling beds, specialist bathing facilities, white board / RITA etc and executive bedrooms (larger +/- wet rooms) are also available. Our private care rates are similar to those paid by the Local Authority which are currently £860/wk and sustainability really matters to us (solar thermal, gel heaters, solar panels etc)
It is a family business managed by a longstanding registered nurse. There are good resident to staff ratios and all our employees are highly skilled (We NEVER uses agency staff). Staff surveys always reinforce the care and compassion residents and families receive and we has a very active residents committee. Crosshill is a family home and we are well supported by our community who we have served for over 30yrs !
