Overview

The Oaks Care Home is a residential and nursing home in a quiet residential area of Blyth. Our home can accommodate just under 39 residents in warm and welcoming bedrooms that are tastefully decorated. Our sunny, spacious lounges overlook the garden that wraps around the home, in the summer months residents enjoy growing their own flowers and vegetables.

We provide residential care for people who have become too frail to look after themselves, and specialist care for those who are living with dementia. In addition we support short stay services; Respite and Day care. We work closely with the teams at local hospitals and support discharge to assess placements as well. In addition, we care for people who are nearing the end of their lives, and support their families through this.

Our nurse and care team are well-established and highly trained, with nurses on site 24-hours per day.

We work with residents to tailor activities, events and outings around their interests as part of the comprehensive program delivered by our dedicated activities coordinator, and we welcome participation from family members and next of kin.

Our catering team delivers delicious home cooked food from a 5-star hygiene rated kitchen. Special dietary needs and personal preferences are part of this taste-laden service.

The Oaks is a comfy, caring home from home.
