Care can be provided for those with learning disabilities with or without autism. We have 3 ground floor rooms, 4 first floor rooms and 2 2nd floor rooms. The first floor can be served with a stairlift for those that require it.
We are small privately run home with a dedicated staff team. We have been operating for over 20 years and many staff have been here 10+ years. As a result we offer continuity of care and we have never once needed to use agency staff. This means the people who call Acorn Lodge home, have familiarity and have the opportunity to build relationships and trust with those that support them.
We are located in Grand Avenue Southbourne which is an enviable position with the beach at one end of the road and Southbourne high-street at the other.
The people who live here take part in a wide varied range of activities including but not limited to -
Bowling, Swimming, café trips, Art & Craft, boat trips, holidays, walks and picnics to the beach and local parks, New Forest trips, visiting local attractions such as oceanarium, Poole Quay, snack cooking, pub lunches, personal shopping trips, photography and scrap book updating, visiting local library, theatre shows and pantomimes.
