Our elegant and brick-built villa provides a luxury, elegant and spacious home is located in the leafy area of Westbourne, Bournemouth originally opened by Sir Thomas Lees in 1988 boasting a rich history whilst retaining many of its original and architectural features with its stunning grand staircase and ballroom. With ample parking and great transport links Drumconner Bournemouth is a historic building which has a country manor feel with award winning gardens designed by a local company. You will find wonderful facilities with exciting activities and plenty of places to relax or entertain for residents who appreciate the quality, comfort and exceptional care we offer.
There is a combination of original and spacious new rooms offering a choice of bright light and elegant accommodation of varying sizes many with either a private patio, or leafy garden views offering high levels of interior finish.
Rooms are ready for personalisation, many are equipped with the very best specialist equipment, overhead hoists and electric profiling beds, to ensure safety, comfort and ease of living. Drumconner is proud to offers residents, the highest standards of residential and nursing care in warm comfortable and luxurious surroundings.
Mealtimes are an important part of daily life and we know eating well and the social experience of dining are key to health and wellbeing. We know that great food makes people happy and our beautifully designed restaurant with its comfortable, yet classic elegance is a great place for residents to enjoy their meals and drinks. Our great chefs ensure every one’s personal preferences and dietary requirements are catered for. We enjoy helping our residents celebrate special occasions throughout the year and welcome family members and friends to join the celebrations in our home.
To ensure our residents and their families are kept busy, happy and stimulated, we offer a wide range of regular social activities and a full annual events programme, to name but a few: concerts performed by local musicians, celebration events, birthday parties, fund raising, summer family barbeque, get-togethers and vintage teas, talks, poetry reading and so much more. Our dedicated entertainment and activities team organise a wide range of shared hobbies such as gardening, home cooking, film shows and traditional board games and opportunities to use new skills with use of Ipad and zoom and stay in touch.
Our Award winning landscaped gardens with pergola and comfortable garden furniture have been designed to encourage socialising with many areas to sit and enjoy throughout the year as well as being used for garden activities and events. Gardening and fresh air offer many important health and well being benefits to residents with a huge positive impact.
