White Lodge & St Helens Care Home has been owned and run by the Higginson family for over 40 years.It is one of the oldest buildings in Boscombe and was built in 1883, its history is varied and was once a Spanish Ambassador’s residence. Over the years it has been a midwifery hospital and hotel, prior to the family purchasing the premises in 1983.
Many of our rooms have stunning views over Boscombe Chines and tranquil gardens and onto the horizon and the nearby beaches. Each of our 55 comfortable individual bedrooms are fully furnished and decorated in a modern style, sympathetic to the houses heritage and many retain some original architectural features. Residents are welcome to personalise their room with their own furnishings, paintings, photos and furniture should they desire.
