Wickmeads is a recently re-built Care South home for residential and dementia care near Bournemouth, Dorset. We are warmly welcoming new residents and inviting families and friends to share in the Food, Fun and Friendship on offer at this lovely Southbourne care home. Wickmeads is a charming, purpose-built residential and dementia care home, located close to the picturesque River Stour in Tuckton, Southbourne.
Wickmeads has 50 welcoming, fully furnished rooms, each with an en-suite wet room, as well as a 24-hour call bell, ensuring residents are comfortable, safe and expertly cared for. We give all residents support and peace of mind and we pride ourselves on doing everything possible to enhance residents’ quality of life.
This carefully designed Bournemouth care home has a number of bright communal lounges that provide the perfect place to unwind with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or to socialise with friends and loved ones. Our lounges overlook beautifully landscaped gardens, including a water feature and a sensory garden, providing residents with a sense of peace and tranquillity. Residents also have full use of our on-site hair salon.
Wickmeads is perfectly located to benefit from local shops and services and we are also blessed with many natural beauty spots on our doorstep, such as Tuckton Gardens and the River Stour. In addition there are lots of gorgeous sandy beaches on offer, as well as spectacular walking opportunities along the coastline. Our great location enables residents to continue doing what they love, whether that’s coffee with friends or enjoying activities with visitors. Nothing is too much trouble for us when it comes to the care and comfort of residents and we always go the extra mile to help residents maintain their lifestyle and independence.
