Overview

Red House is a 48 bed care home which is divided into two 24 bed communities. We offer specialised dementia care and physical support to older people.

Situated in the popular seaside of Bridlington we are located close to local amenities and have views of the beachfront and Flamborough Head.

Red House is a single-storey building and has hairdressing facilities, designated activity areas and internal courtyards and garden areas for relaxing and enabling residents to pursue their gardening hobbies.

A favourite with service users is our “Rempod” pub, a reminiscence aid which has enabled us to enjoy a vast array of themed activities and events such as royal celebrations, race afternoons, domino and darts knockouts.

We have two activity co-ordinators who ensure that activities are available seven days a week.

We are rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission.

The Manager writes…….

“The staff team at Red house have had extensive training to ensure they can cater for all service users’ needs and ensure that care is person-centred for the individual. We have dementia champions and also designated experts by experience relating to food services, medication, safeguarding, mental capacity and end of life care, which helps users of our service identify people to talk to if they need too.”

“We also offer support for families at our friends and family get-togethers as we recognise that families may also require support in addition to the person we are directly caring for.”

“Red House actively promotes a friendly, family atmosphere where the ethos of “the mums test” is extremely important to us. If our service isn’t good enough for our mums, it isn’t good enough for the people we support.”

Leah Davies – Home Manager
