Overview

Fairfield Country Rest Home is a home in the area of Bude, which can accommodate 32 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. A high number of staff are trained also in Palliative and end of life care.
Fairfield is set in 7 acres of its own grounds with gardens which are fully accessible to the residents and their families.
We encourage families to bring their pets in to visit and walk in the grounds. We have regular visits from podiatrist opticians dentist hairdresser and remedial masseur.
Each room has their own small en- suite but a large wet room is provided for a supported shower.
Residents can furnish their rooms with furniture and pictures from home.
We have several rooms with ocean far reaching views as we are set high on the hills on the Devon and Cornwall border, close by is the town of Bude and Stratton with its huge array of shops, beautiful level canal walks and the beaches and sea pool.
The home is family run private home and the manager lives on site and has been here 22 years.
We employ local staff from the surrounding towns and villages who we train up to a good level to enable the best care possible.

Activities take place every afternoon on the premises and we have an assortment of Volunteer's who come in to the home and play an active role in this. The local parish church supports the residents with their religious beliefs and we hold both private and group services here at the home. The local church is just a short drive away.

We cook all our food on the premises and our supplies are purchased locally. Residents can have magazines and newspapers and a mini shop goes around the home to enable them to make small purchases of toiletries or chocolate etc
We invite people to come for coffee and look round and have a chat with staff and residents and offer a trial stay before making that huge jump in to permanent care with us
