Overview
At Gorse Hill we support individuals who have learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
Gorse Hill is a home in the area of Burnley, which can accommodate nine people we support. We have six bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities as well as four self-contained flats. These have been created to help residents gain more independence, possibly with a view to moving into their own home, with full independence. The property is wheelchair accessible and adaptations can be made to the service to meet individuals’ needs. We also have a number of communal areas, including a lounge, a dining area and a large garden.
Our home is situated in a quiet residential area between Burnley and Padiham town centre. There is a bus stop nearby with regular services to various towns in the area, which the people we support use to get into town to participate in their chosen activities and interests. We also have a service vehicle, which is often used to go further afield.
