Overview
Alexander Care Home is primarily the old vicarage, we are situated in between St Thomas' Church and Openshaw Park on Rochdale Road in Bury. We are a residential home able to accommodate 30 residents some of whom have Dementia.
We have an activity co-ordinator who works four days a week to provide meaningful activities for our residents. We have a visiting entertainer on a monthly basis and special occasions. We are also part of an intergenerational linking project with a local school and a Church service is provided within the Home for those who wish to attend. We go on trips out into the local community as a group and also on a one to one basis.
All meals are prepared fresh on the premises and all tastes can be catered for. Laundry is also done in-house. We have a good working relationship with the local GP surgery and Care Home Team based at Minden, who our home is aligned with and also with the pharmacy that provides our medication. The District Nursing team provide support with any concerns we may have. We have a visiting chiropodist and hairdresser (chargeable).
The Home is rated Good in all areas by CQC.
