Overview
At Bridge Haven care home, staff work to create a welcoming atmosphere in which residents enjoy activities, go on outings and socialise with other residents and staff. At the heart of the home is our philosophy of care, the Eden Alternative (Awarded Silver), where staff encourage social interaction, engagement and work towards the eradication of loneliness and boredom.
Bridge Haven care home is equipped with bright lounges and en-suite bedrooms to support person-cantered care. We have many rooms that overlook the gardens surrounding the home, with the suite names following a floral theme of Primrose and Bluebell.
Facilities Bridge Haven include the “The Snug”, a place for residents to enjoy a drink or two with friends, and a cinema room to catch up on all the latest films or revisit old classics. Residents can also join in with a daily programme of activities throughout the home and the minibus allows residents the opportunity for day trips out to local places of interest. There are communal tablets available for residents wanting to browse the internet or communicate with loved ones through email or video.
All laundry is included and managed by the homes domestic team but should residents wish to continue independently with daily tasks such as cleaning and laundry there’s always practical support available from staff to do so. All meals are nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared and cooked at the home and the catering team are always on hand to meet any dietary requirements or requests.
In addition to residential care Bridge Haven care home offers a respite care service that gives family carers or caregivers the chance to have a break from caring, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off.
Bridge Haven has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Bridge Haven also offers the following short stay services; respite care.
