Welcome to Highfield Care Centre, located in the village of Allerton Bywater on the outskirts of Castleford. Highfield Care Centre is a bright and spacious purpose-built care home providing high – quality care and support for older people.
Each of our 88 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity. At Highfield Care Centre providing independence and choice is very important – One reason we try and encourage residents to personalise their room.

All Rosedale Care residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care ethos puts resident’s health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.
The facilities at Highfield Care Centre allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from utilising the luxurious beauty salon, enjoying the gardens and terraces, relaxing with friends and in the Garden Room Café.
Our home has a busy activities timetable, built around the key goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. Each activity is designed to enhance life skills and give a feeling of purpose and self-worth. There will be a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.
The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.
