Overview

At Chard Manor we provide care and support for 10 adults with a severe learning disability, autism and high care needs such as sensory impairments and epilepsy. We also have experience in supporting people following a traumatic brain injury.

Our home is an open and spacious building, designed to meet and respond to the needs of the people we support, while providing a warm and homely atmosphere that empowers individuality and encourages people to feel safe and secure.

Spread over two floors, each of our 10 bedrooms are equipped with en-suite facilities. Our large lounges have open fireplaces, and the original, front facing windows create a bright and relaxing environment. We have plenty of space for the people we support to participate in a wide range of activities including beauty/massage therapy, art sessions and gardening. The kitchen is separated into two sections with areas specifically designed to support and encourage people with meal preparation, with a large dining room that provides the perfect setting for enjoying meals together.

Chard Manor is set in a quiet and rural environment near the outskirts of Chard, Somerset. We are positioned within walking distance of the town centre, health and leisure facilities, as well as cycling routes and long country walks. We ensure that regular home visits and family contact is maintained. Our central location between Taunton and Yeovil provides great road links to the M5 and the A303, as well as major bus and train routes to popular areas.
