The Gables care home is situated in the centre of the Cambridgeshire market town of Chatteris, where we provide short-term, respite and longer term care and support for up to 49 residents. The home is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission and has an outstanding local reputation.
The Gables is beautiful inside and out, with private courtyard gardens for our residents to enjoy, as well as a number of communal areas including large lounges, dining room and relaxing quiet spaces. The Gables houses a private salon where residents can indulge in regular hairdressing and nail appointments. Accessibility is a priority, and a lift ensures that all areas, including the first floor, are easily reachable.
Making residents’ stays a special as possible is fundamental at the home. Residents are all treated to their own special personalised birthday cake; something The Gables is renowned for ensuring residents have a very special day being spoilt.
The town of Chatteris is a pleasant and historic setting with many fantastic attractions including a library, local history museum and weekly market. The high street benefits from a post office, public houses, bakeries, newsagents and general stores. All are literally within a short walking distance from the home, with a doctor's surgery, multiple churches and local parks also close by.
