Overview

. Brookview is a compassionate and reputable nursing and residential care home in Derbyshire offering the best in high-quality care to people over the age of 60.
Specialising in residential, residential dementia, nursing, respite and end of life care, we provide a safe and homely environment for residents to enjoy, while encouraging freedom and independence.
We are located in the town of Dronfield which lies midway between Sheffield and Chesterfield, near local attractions like Chatsworth House and only 3 miles from the Peak District. The closest bus stop is the Coach and Horses, which is a short walk away and within easy access of shops and other amenities.
Our dedicated, well-established team is always on hand to offer care and support to both our residents and family members as we understand that for many, we are their first experience of a professional care service. We work tirelessly to ensure that all our residents feel comfortable in their surroundings. Both residents and family members are encouraged to participate in the development of an individualised care plan so that we are well prepared in our aim to meet all resident’s care and social needs.
We have 60 wheelchair accessible, tastefully decorated, and comfortable bedrooms, most of which are ensuite and all have internet access, a TV point with a nurse call system and fire detection for safety. We actively encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and belongings as we believe that this not only helps them feel more at home, but also aids our residents in settling into a new environment. Pets are also welcome by arrangement.
Our dining room is a welcoming space for residents to enjoy a sociable dining experience where families are welcome to join them, alternatively if they prefer, they have the option of enjoying their meals in their own room. We cater for celebrations and any dietary and cultural needs they may have and offer a large selection of quality balanced meals at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper. The catering staff make all meals in our 5* kitchen and snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are available around the home 24 hours a day, so residents are never short of something to munch on. We also hold special themed nights so they get to try something different every now and then.
Our range of living areas means our residents are never short of somewhere within their home to relax and be content. Our 2 communal lounges provide a perfect place to relax and gossip amongst the other residents creating a sense of community within the home. We also have a quiet lounge if residents would rather enjoy some peace and privacy with their family.
In the home, we have our own hair salon, creating perfect pampering opportunities meaning residents can keep on top of their hair dos right under their own roof and we host regular visits from healthcare practitioners such the dentist, optician and podiatrist. Our kitchenette is free for both our residents and their visitors to use and our lift allows residents who may have mobility issues to access all our amenities. Our Dronfield home has a car park for our residents, visitors and staff alike, newspaper orders and deliveries are also taken and received daily.
We have an enclosed garden which encompasses raised flowerbeds and comfortable seating areas for our residents and their families to soak up the sun, or do some gardening. Our outside space is wheelchair accessible and includes a secure and open patio area so everyone can enjoy the garden, especially during the events held during the summer months.

We believe it is important to offer a range of entertaining and motivating activities so that no-one is left bored so there is always something fun and stimulating to take part in. Our dedicated activities coordinator also takes residents into town to enjoy shopping, for lunch at local pubs and cafés and on day trips to the local beauty spots and garden centres. To keep their musical memories alive, regular entertainers visit the home to perform their favourite songs.
