Overview
Markham House is a specialist brain injury rehabilitation service located in Bolsover. Our dedicated team use a person-centred approach to support 17 adults with brain injuries to develop their cognitive and practical skills, while regaining their independence.
Located in a quiet area, our expansive home has 17 en-suite bedrooms, ideal for private personal care needs and added independence. In the main building, our home has shared communal areas including a lounge, art room and a fully equipped kitchen. Just next door is our day centre where we have a quiet room and a training kitchen – a fantastic opportunity for the people we support to expand their cooking skills. We also have a large, enclosed garden featuring a patio area and a water feature – perfect for the people we support to enjoy in the warmer months. Markham House also benefits from several open-plan, wheelchair accessible bungalows. These are designed for individuals needing less support, enabling them to live more independently within a safe environment, before transitioning back into the community.
Our home has many local amenities nearby, including supermarkets, shops and cafés. We also have great transport links, meaning the people we support can easily travel to local towns such as Chesterfield and Clowne.
