Overview

Springbank House Care Home in Derbyshire specialises in residential, residential dementia and respite care.
Based near the centre of the market town of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, our purpose-built home has been recently renovated and is within walking distance of the town centre, bus station and shops.
Providing a homely environment for older people with residential needs, Springbank House provides an exceptional level of care to residents. To deliver this quality of care, we encourage residents and their families participate in the creation of an individualised care plan, meaning we can cater for any unique needs that our residents may have.
We offer 38 tastefully decorated and comfortable bedrooms are wheelchair accessible and benefit from ensuite facilities, large windows, television points, Wi-Fi, and a nurse call and fire detection system for the safety of our residents. We encourage our residents to bring in their own furniture and belongings so they can feel at home and comfortable in their new room. Pets, by arrangement, are also welcome at, hopefully not separating our residents from their beloved animals. A small shop and car park are available to be used by our residents, staff and visitors and we also have newspaper orders and deliveries, daily.
Meals times at Springbank are protected, and we welcome friends and relatives to join our residents for meals in the home prepared on site by our team in the 5-Star kitchen. We cater for all celebrations of our residents and any dietary and cultural requirements they may have. We offer a wide choice of delicious home cooked meals so they will always find something to their taste and of course, we understand that sometimes they just want a quiet meal by themselves in the comfort of their room so we always give them this option. To ensure our residents don’t feel stuck in a rut at mealtimes, we have special themed meal nights, giving residents a chance to do something different and fresh snacks, fruit and refreshments are available around the clock ensuring our residents are never too peckish in between meals.
We boast a choice of four lounges which are ideal for our residents to socialise together, or spend time with their family and friends when they visit, along with a quiet lounge for them to have some peace. Our Serendipity Café is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon tea and the activity room creates great opportunities for residents to socialise amongst others while participating in fun and stimulating activities. We also have a lift meaning no mobility restrictions for residents who struggle with stairs and our kitchenette is free to be used by our residents and their visitors.
The conservatory is a favourite of our residents and offers fantastic views of our garden with doors that open out and give access onto the lawns. Our gardens are completely wheelchair accessible meaning no-one is at a disadvantage when it comes to enjoying our enclosed courtyard garden.
We offer a range of entertaining and motivating activities to keep our residents occupied and always stimulated by something they enjoy doing, and our dedicated activities coordinator takes residents on day trips to local beauty spots, into town for a spot of shopping, and for lunch at local pubs and cafés.
