Overview
Fairfield provides long-term residential care and short-term respite care for older people and people living with dementia.
Fairfield has been designed as three separate households on either the ground floor with easy access, or the top floor, accessed via a lift. Each household has a living area with a lounge, dining area and kitchenette where people can make their own snacks and drinks or get a bit of help from staff to prepare hot refreshments.
The open living area is a central hub for each household where people like to get together and socialise with other residents, family, and friends. You’ll often find our regular exercise classes or activities happening in the living area – or we might be outside, making the most of our garden which has seating areas, planted spaces and a dedicated cycle path for our side-by-side bike. As part of our activity provision WCS Care employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. Listening to music has the power to unlock memories, trigger emotions and connect people. Regular music can keep the ‘emotional memory’ topped up.
Our Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. We also welcome relatives on our trips so families can make new memories together.
We also have a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures.
