Overview
Fennell Court is a purpose built home in the market town of Dewsbury. We provide an intensive support service to individuals with learning disabilities who may also have mental health needs or behaviours that challenge.
Fennell Court is a home in the area of Dewsbury, which can accommodate just under nine people we support. Our home is made up of eight separate apartments, while each person we support has their own bedroom, ensuite shower room, kitchen and living area. There is also a communal lounge, kitchen and patio area where people can spend time with others, if they wish.
Dewsbury hosts a range of shopping and leisure facilities, with excellent educational resources. Fennell Court is only a short drive or bus journey from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax, enabling the people we support to travel into locations with a wider range of activities available. We have easy access to the countryside and work experience opportunities at our innovative 19 acre hill farm project in Howarth. We have a good relationship with the wider community including our neighbours and some individuals have chosen to help out local pensioners by walking dogs and gardening, and others volunteer at charity shops. Several of the people we support attend the local college, pursuing a range of subjects, including travel and tourism and physical education.
