Rose House is owned and operated by Runwood Homes; a family-owned, leading residential care provider, with over 30 years’ experience in delivering quality care to older people, including those living with dementia.

Situated in Doncaster, Rose House offers a warm, safe and friendly place to not only live, but thrive. Rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, our professional, highly trained care team provides attentive, 24-hour support, guidance and reassurance for residents.

Our aim is to provide every resident with a charming lifestyle and to feel a sense purpose and belonging amongst friends in their later years.

The manager of Rose House is Tracey Reynolds who has many years’ social care experience. Tracey and her team are dedicated to the care and wellbeing of every resident, and Tracey oversees the running of the home to uphold its good reputation in delivering a high standard of care.

Please note, our team is fully trained regarding coronavirus. We are covid-free, and our extra precautionary infection prevention and control measures ensure that we best protect everyone.

Rose House offers a person-centred environment, meeting each residents’ individual needs and wishes, detailed within a regularly reviewed, bespoke care plan. Our facilities encourage people to maintain their independence, explore new activities and cater for much-loved hobbies.

The friendly and understanding team at Rose House are well equipped and highly trained to care for people living with varying levels of dementia and its various associated behaviours. Our Wellbeing Lead aims to help keep spirits high by providing appropriate, stimulating and reminiscence activities to encourage communication, reduce the risk of isolation and improve overall wellbeing.

If available, we offer short stay care breaks, commonly known as respite care, affording home carers to enjoy a very well-deserved break. We’ll listen and assess the needs of your loved one to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay throughout.

Residents are supported to enjoy exploring the services and facilities available at Rose House, including our sociable café, relaxing lounges and dressed dining room. Plus, residents can benefit from our weekly hairdressing service and other personal care services, such as massage and chiropody. We remain well connected with external healthcare partners.

Our chefs and catering team offer a delicious choice of multi-course meal options, planned in line with residents’ preferences. Mealtimes really are a sociable highlight of the day. A selection of snacks and beverages are always available, to satisfy taste buds in between mealtimes. We also cater for texture modified diets, for residents with a neurological condition, such as dementia, who may have an increased risk of choking.

Our residents’ health and wellbeing are a priority for our professional team at Rose House. As part of our aim to provide an exemplary, person-centred service, we celebrate the lives of our residents, mark special occasions, and welcome friends, family and our local community to be part of our home. Our newsletter, activity planner and upcoming events assist in keeping our residents entertained, engaged with the community and connected to the world around them.

Runwood Homes’ Wellbeing and Dementia Services Team enhances residents’ wellbeing, to enjoy a good quality of life through engagement and connections, with a whole team approach. In addition to an ongoing activities plan, meaningful engagement is enjoyed by all during our daily ‘Tools Down’ initiative; dedicated to getting together, socialising and enjoying activities. Our home also uses an efficient digital care plan system, affording carers more quality time with residents.

Outdoor living in the fairer months is encouraged, with gardening challenges available for our green-fingered residents. A variety of visitors and entertainers, intergenerational and community group links, walks and external outings and trips are all available, resulting in positive health benefits.
