Overview

Here at Woodlands, we promote choice, dignity, and independence for our residents. Our staff strive to deliver excellent standards of care, whilst promoting these values.
Woodlands is home to elderly residents with varying needs, including those with physical disabilities, various stages of dementia and those who lack the confidence to live independently.
The home has a very modern but homely feel, it is uniquely decorated and regularly complimented for its relaxed, peaceful, and friendly atmosphere. We have 51 single individually decorated rooms, some are ensuites, with 6 uniquely decorated lounges, a large welcoming foyer area and 3 separate dining areas. We have a large landscaped garden to the rear of the property, which is great for socialising on a summers day, and don’t forget the relaxing courtyard located in the centre of the building.
We are located in the beautiful market town of Driffield in the East Yorkshire Wolds. Woodlands is situated directly across from the railway station, which allows easy access to transport facilities and is a short walk from the town centre. This proximity of services allows our residents the opportunity to access shops, cafes, and the wider local community.
Woodlands is located on riverhead, which is a beautiful area for our residents to go for a walk along the river and see the wildlife, whilst still being near the heart of Driffield town.
Activities at Woodlands play an integral part in the home. Helping to bring together, residents, families/friends, and staff. Creating new memories through our themed evening events and building new friendships during our daily activity schedule.

Our rooms are uniquely decorated, light and are a combination of single and en-suite rooms along with alternative accessible toilet facilities.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms, as much as they want and bring along pieces of furniture and personal mementos to help our them feel at home.
All our rooms have TV points available, as well as smart TV’s in a number of our lounges.
A local hair dresser visits Woodlands weekly and appointments can be arranged for our residents, for a variety of treatments. We also have a local foot care specialist who provides foot care and foot health check ups every 6 weeks.
Dental check ups and eye tests are provided by a local dentistry team and local ophthalmologist who visit Woodlands regularly. For residents who prefer to use local services, access to community appointments can be supported

Days at Woodlands are filled with laughter, friendly conversation, activities and events. There is always plenty to do and we encourage family and friends to actively join in with activities and events, creating new memories.
Our activities co-ordinator organises a weekly programme of events and activities, which keeps our residents busy. They also produce monthly event schedules which include coffee mornings, cinema afternoons, afternoon teas home baking days and live entertainment, by a host of local entertainers. As well as regular evening events for families and friends to attend. Residents are welcome to join in as much or as little as they like.
For those who like to get out, we can arrange support for trips out into the local community, for shopping, meals and coffee, as well as visits to Driffield's Thursday Market.
Our secure gardens are available for residents and their families to enjoy, offering seating areas, where people can spend time socialising, reading or simply relaxing and watching the wildlife.
Visitor’s are always welcome at Woodlands.
