Situated in the popular Hampshire town of Chandlers Ford, Brendoncare Knightwood’s innovative but homely development enables older people to live as independently as they wish in quality accommodation promoting independent living through its wide range of activities, focussing on fun and happiness. Brendoncare Knightwood Court residential care home offers 20 ensuite bedrooms. All are located on the building’s ground floor and arranged as one household, giving it a homely feel. There is a 24-hour nurse call system in each room with call points in both the bedroom and ensuite shower room. All the bedrooms are decorated to a high standard with residents encouraged to bring their own personal items, bringing familiarity and comfort. All rooms have a patio allowing you direct access outdoors, and many residents decorate their own garden area. Assisted bathrooms and wheelchair accessible showers are available. Brendoncare Knightwood provides residential, respite and end of life care.
Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by experienced carers who are available 24 hours a day. Residential care takes away the stresses and strains of running your own home. Support is always on hand to provide help with everyday tasks. Residents enjoy their day as they choose, perhaps participating in activities or spending time quietly in their rooms, the gardens and communal rooms. Respite care gives short-term support to those recovering from an illness, hospital stay or when carers take a break, and this can be booked up to 3 months in advance. End of life (palliative) care supports those in the last months or years of their lives enabling them to continue living with dignity. Brendoncare Knightwood Court offers a range of facilities and services designed to make residents feel completely at home. There are lounge and dining areas in which to relax, a restaurant, hair salon and shop stocked with everyday items and luxuries, and a library with books to suit all tastes and interests. There are also elegantly furnished patios overlooking the mature four acres of grounds and gardens that provide perfect places to soak up the sunshine and spot the visiting wildlife including ducks and deer. Food and drink are an important part of the day. Our chef managers and catering teams work closely with residents, staff and professionals to accommodate any specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements or cultural/spiritual needs. The varied menus offered in the spacious, sunny restaurant always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime. Wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied activities – from fitness classes to quizzes, board games and manicures, plus visits from local schools and specialist groups. They also arrange activities to celebrate special occasions including birthdays, Mothers’ Day, Easter and Christmas.

We also offer extra care housing at Knightwood, Knightwood Mews extra care housing consists of bungalows and apartments to support older people 24 hours a day to continue leading active, independent lives in their own homes. These are purchased from the exsiting homeowners.
