Overview
The Brambles is a small independent service that is home to four people, male or female, aged over eighteen who have a learning and additional physical support needs including, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Hearing Impairment, Speech Impairment and other health needs.
Providing 24 hour 7 day a week person centred support based on individuals requirements, we provide a safe, genuine homely environment together with devoted and committed staff support.
Situated in the small market town of Soham in Cambridgeshire The Brambles is a purpose built bungalow that meets stringent health and safety and building legislation, yet maintaining a warm, homely feel. Specifically designed with input from individuals to whom The Brambles is home, their carers/representatives and staff the building offers the following;
• Four private bedrooms with en suites, decorated and furnished to individual preferences
• A spacious and light lobby
• A large, homely lounge
• A modern kitchen designed with environmental health advice
• A large bathroom and wet room area
• Ceiling tracking is in all bedrooms and the bathroom
Other specialist equipment is provided according to individuals particular requirements.
Soham is a lively and close knit community; People living at The Brambles are supported in utilising local facilities and some have become active and valued participants in local clubs and events. This has enabled individuals to establish their presence within the local community and to identify and develop their own social networks.
