Overview
Seaview is home to six adults with moderate learning disabilities. It is a spacious and welcoming house with large rooms, situated on the white cliffs overlooking the English Channel. The home provides support for individuals with learning disabilities, as well as those with complex behavioural, emotional, and communication needs.
Specialising in the care of individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome, the home also addresses other food-related issues and supports those with type 2 diabetes. The people we support receive tailored care packages, person-centred care plans, and positive behavioural support. They are encouraged to participate in a weekly schedule of activities, including educational, leisure, social, and enjoyable pursuits. The development of independent living skills, such as budgeting, cooking, travelling, and health and safety awareness within the home and community, is also a key focus.
The home is managed by an experienced leader with 18 years of working in learning disability care, who is dedicated and passionate about their role. Strong relationships with the Community Learning Disabilities Team enable access to specialist healthcare professionals in the local area when needed.
