Overview
Bramble House is a family owned dementia specialist care home near the centre of Gloucester. We can accommodate 29 residents and have a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Our aim is to provide a 'home-from-home' with the individual at the centre of everything that we do. Our rooms are well presented and functional to meet the care needs of our residents, but at the same time they are welcoming and homely. Residents are encouraged to bring in their own furniture and items which support their comfort and wellbeing. Our staff are caring and trained to support people with different types of dementia as well as health needs and know our residents well.
The communal areas are light and bright with dementia-friendly signage and decoration. We have two large lounges both with dining areas. Visitors are welcome at anytime and a private or quite area can be made available if you need it. Considering we are so close to the centre of Gloucester, our outside space is surprisingly large, from the car park at the front with tons of spaces, to 3 outside areas, a main garden which is beautiful in the summer and the area most used by residents, to a courtyard space which is a real suntrap, and we even have an orchard!
We understand that it is important for individuals to be able to maintain their interests and hobbies and we offer a range of activities on both an individual and group basis. For example, we may have a fireworks night party, or summer fete to which all are invited, including family and friends, or our Activities Coordinator may organise a board game afternoon, or music session, or we have visiting entertainers and professionals including an exercise class from a visiting physiotherapist, a singer, or a visit from the 'memory man', but we also recognise that spending quality time, reading the paper, playing cards, watching a favourite TV programme or spending time reminiscing is as important as the bigger events or organised activities.
Bramble House can offer a range of services including long term, short term or respite stay and day care services. If you are interested in knowing more, please contact us on the number or email above and we welcome you to come and have a look around and meet the team.
