Overview

Nestled in the peaceful village of Wormley, Surrey Hills is a 19th-Victorian manor surrounded by acres of picturesque countryside. Offering high-quality service in a friendly environment, Surrey Hills provides specialist nursing care for up to 45 people.

Surrey Hills supports people living with a variety of complex dementia types including Alzheimers, Vascular Dementia, Frontal Lobe dementia’s and dementia types associated with neurological conditions. The service prides itself on delivering high quality care to people who may experience distress through their diagnosis and those who are reaching the end of their life. Staff at Surrey Hills support people in a way that maximises comfort, dignity and a sense of warmth through kindness, compassion and understanding.

The service benefits from large, open plan communal areas to ensure that people do not feel isolated or lonely. Staff encourage people living in the service to feel part of a community and to engage in activities that are person centred and meaningful.

We recognise that people living in a care setting who have a diagnosis of dementia can sometimes feel lost, restricted or anxious. The service strives to ensure that people feel like they are at home, where people are treated like family, not residents.
