Overview

Five Penny House offers support to individuals with a learning disability who may also have autistic spectrum disorders and physical disabilities.

Five Penny House is a home in the area of Hartlepool, which can accommodate six people we support. Five Penny House is a spacious detached home with six bedrooms – one bedroom has ensuite facilities, and the bedrooms on the upper floor can be accessed using a stair lift, providing accessibility throughout the home. The shared areas include a dining room, a conservatory and a large lounge where residents can spend time with their housemates and family members, while also serving as a space for solo and group activities. There is also a large, enclosed garden with a lawn and patio area which provides a pleasant place to relax.

Five Penny House is close to Hartlepool town centre with good public transport links. We encourage everyone to make use of local amenities and be as independent as possible. We visit shops, pubs and clubs as well as attending local events. The wider area has many leisure facilities which allow individuals to take part in a variety of activities; this includes a swimming pool.
