Our Hayling Island retirement village is set within four acres of beautiful parkland. Gorseway Park has three types of high-quality care available for people who are at different stages in their life.
Our independent apartments have care workers on-site for residents if and when they need support. In contrast, our residential and nursing home has 24-hour a day carers and nurses readily available for support.
Gorseway Park boasts excellent transport links and the perfect combination of a rural setting, all while being 20 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour. We are close to a variety of shops, a doctor’s surgery, coffee shops and great local heritage sights for our weekly trips out. We even have the benefit of having our own minibus which is always being used to take our residents the places they want to go.
Social activities
We place great emphasis on social activities and maintaining the type of life you have had at home, whether that is a quiet and relaxed lifestyle or an active lifestyle We have our own minibus and make the most of it! We take our residents for local days out including shopping trips, picnics or simply just to admire our beautiful island coastline. We have an iconic ballroom that has been restored to its former glory. We love to hold group activities in this room and occasionally dancing the night away! We love trips out to the historic city of Portsmouth. Portsmouth harbour naval base is a popular choice amongst our residents for trips out, followed by a scrumptious pub lunch.
Dining
At Gorseway Park Retirement Village you will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sourced wherever possible. Meals are served in one of our superb dining rooms, but you also have the option for food to be served in your room for a more private dining experience.
Nutrition is an important part of the care we provide. That’s why our catering team take time to get to know your likes and dislikes before putting together a vibrant and varied menu for you to choose from.
Bedrooms
Our care home has 32 en-suite bedrooms, some of which can accommodate couples. Plus, we offer five luxury suites which have lounge areas, bedroom and bathroom. Our nursing home has 54 single en-suite bedrooms across the ground floor and the first floor, with some able to accommodate couples. Our first floor is fully accessible, by stairs or a lift.
Gardens
We’re very proud of our lovely four acres of landscaped gardens. Our lake is beautiful, with a stunning water feature and Koi carp.
There are lawned areas and a patio overlooking the beach where you can join in outdoor activities or simply enjoy being outside.
