Overview
Nestled in the charming East Yorkshire market town of Hedon, Albemarle is a dedicated dementia care home accommodating up to 42 residents. Our welcoming, two-storey residence is designed for comfort and accessibility, featuring a lift for easy access to the first floor.
At Albemarle, we prioritize social engagement and relaxation, offering three inviting lounges perfect for entertaining and connecting with others. Our beautiful enclosed gardens include a greenhouse and vegetable planters, providing residents with opportunities to enjoy nature and engage in gardening activities.
Our enthusiastic Activity Coordinators organise a vibrant schedule of events, encouraging residents to stay active and participate in activities that suit their interests. Our spacious lounge, affectionately known as ‘The Hub,’ is a hub of social activity, complete with a bar and pool table. Here, we host regular ‘pub nights’ featuring quizzes, darts, chess, pool, and dominoes—ensuring there’s always something fun happening!
Residents can indulge in pampering services with regular visits from hairdressers and chiropodists, while external entertainers frequently bring joy to our home. We warmly welcome families to join in on the fun, particularly at our annual Summer Fair, which brings the whole community together.
Our outings are a highlight, with trips to beautiful destinations like Withernsea, Hornsea, Bridlington, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, and East Park, enriching the lives of our residents with new experiences.
The Manager writes……
“At Albemarle, we are deeply committed to person-centred care, ensuring that every resident is treated as an individual. Our friendly team interacts closely with residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We invite visitors to enjoy a cup of tea during their visit and, upon prior arrangement, even share a meal with us. We believe in fostering strong connections between families, our team, and the home, making everyone feel included in our vibrant community.”
