Overview

About All Saints Vicarage All Saints Vicarage has been open since 1998, and we support adults with Autism and associated Challenging Behaviour. We offer a wide range of activities and aim to create an environment that is tailored to meet each individual’s needs and interests. Through a person-centred approach to care, we focus on developing communication and social interaction skills. We also implement a daily routine that helps the people we support to reduce their anxiety and Challenging Behaviours, and we focus on developing their confidence and independence.

Service Users are encouraged to actively engage with the local community. We often visit local shops, go on outings to the local cinema, and have entertaining trips to the bowling alley. We also provide Service Users with the opportunity to take short and extended holiday trips. All Saints Vicarage is registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Where we are situated
All Saints Vicarage is home to six people in Hetton-Le-Hole which is situated on the Sunderland – Durham border. We are within walking distance of Hetton town centre, as well as the picturesque Hetton Country Park and Lake. The living rooms within the home are spacious, and Service Users are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms according to their own preference. All Saints Vicarage is situated in large private grounds which are suitable for a range of outdoor activities and games, such as football or summer barbeques.

Details about care and support
The Service Users at All Saints Vicarage have an individual programme of care and support that is designed to meet their personal needs and interests. Contact with family and friends is both encouraged and supported in the home, and we create a welcoming environment in which family members and loved ones can engage with residents during visits, or through phone calls and letters.
