Overview
Located in the picturesque heart of Hindhead, Surrey, Moorhouse is an Edwardian country house offering top-quality dementia and residential care for up to 36 residents. Originally built as the first hotel in the area by the renowned English architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, Moorhouse retains many of its original features, including a display of the hotel's porcelain plates.
Our home creates a welcoming, home-like environment, tailoring care and activities to each resident's unique needs and preferences. We are committed to a care vision that prioritises privacy, dignity, and the overall well-being of all residents, with a special focus on country house dementia living.
At Moorhouse, we foster a close-knit community grounded in a sense of place, friendship, and belonging. We honour residents' values and provide unwavering professional care of the highest standards. In addition to residential and dementia care, we also offer pre-bookable respite care.
As part of the Ashberry network, which spans across England and Wales, we prioritise the well-being of residents and their families. Our core values—loyalty, integrity, and compassion—are the foundation of our operations and are deeply embedded in the culture of each of our homes.
