Overview
Huish House is a home in the area of Langport, which can accommodate 12 people with learning disabilities.
Each individual living here has a large bedroom, uniquely decorated to their own tastes. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and five of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor. Our gardens are an impressive size and give us a beautiful view of the Somerset countryside. We have a wheelchair accessible sensory garden with a pond and a vegetable plot, where the people we support grow their own vegetables.
The Victorian home is a grand, inviting building full of character and charm, boasting original features throughout. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and maintained to a very high standard. We have a large kitchen, a laundry room and two large dining rooms. Our large kitchen is an important room for us, as everyone who lives here loves to spend time in there with the support of our team, using numerous daily living skills while baking cakes and cooking meals.
Huish House is located close to a range of amenities, and our housemates enjoy heading out into the community to enjoy their hobbies, such as horse-riding, swimming, bike rides, arts and crafts, and shopping.
