Overview

Deer Park Care Home is located in the historic market town of Ledbury, on the borders of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, famous for its beginnings as a bishop’s manor and as the birthplace of Poet Laureate, John Masefield. The home is within easy driving reach of attractions such as the Malvern Hills and The Wye Valley, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Deer Park Care Home offers 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within elegant and spacious surroundings. The home is purpose-built, incorporating many thoughtful and practical features that ensure the comfort and safety of our residents at all times, supporting, not only their differing care requirements, but their social, emotional and physical wellbeing too.

Professional and empathetic care is what Porthaven does best and our team of hand-selected staff are dedicated to the care, comfort and dignity of every single individual. We place a particular emphasis on promoting independence, privacy, respect and wellbeing for all residents.

Every resident at Deer Park Care Home benefits from a spacious bedroom with en suite wetroom and there are a variety of communal living areas for socialising, hobbies and dining. These include sitting rooms, a number of different-sized restaurants, a gym, cinema, café, bespoke hairdressing salon, activities and wellbeing room and a private dining room for special family celebrations.

Porthaven greatly values enrichment and fun, where boredom is never an option. There is a well-developed and award-winning philosophy of activities and wellbeing, with a team of co-ordinators planning a diverse and inclusive programme of activities for the residents, ensuring to appeal to every interest, capability and need. This may include outings, visiting speakers, musical events and exercise sessions for various abilities.

There are two acres of secure and beautiful gardens at Deer Park Care Home for relaxation, exercise, afternoon tea in good weather and even gardening. Porthaven hold a friendly annual challenge between all the homes where residents are involved in the planning and planting of vegetables and flowers.

Deer Park Care Home is a place to live well in our care, in style. We would be delighted to chat to you and show you around our home, to see what we could offer you or your loved one, so you can see for yourself what makes a Porthaven home so special.
