Overview
The Hollies is a homely residential care home set in a quiet suburb of Leeds
They look after only 28 residents and provide them with the highest standard of care. The building is a Victorian property extended to create multiple large communal spaces on the ground floor and bedrooms over three floors. The Hollies has been in operation as a care home since the 1990's and is situated close to the local shops, churches and transport links.
The staff are recruited based on their values, are well trained and continually monitored by the homes management team. Being a smaller care home enables The Hollies to provide care that fits the needs of each individual resident, and understand their changing care needs on a day-to-day basis. The residents also get to know each staff member well, which builds familiarity and trust. Many staff have been with The Hollies for many years, which helps residents feel secure.
Great emphasis is placed on creating a pleasant, homely atmosphere for residents. Special attention is given to the happiness and individual requirements of all residents.
The Hollies has a visiting hairdresser, optician, dentist, chiropodist, district nurses and other health professionals. We also have a weekly 'ward round' with the GP.
The Hollies is highly regarded by both the local community and the medical profession.
