Overview
Nightingale House is situated in the village of Bucknall in Lincolnshire, close to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Nightingale House Care Centre offers residential and dementia care for 45 residents.
Nightingale House is a detached property and stands in approximately one acre of ground in the centre of the village. The home is single storey and spacious, offering residents a choice of eating in the main dining room or within their own comfortable rooms. There are a number of areas within the home for families and residents to sit and relax, with views of the surrounding countryside. Bedrooms are single occupancy, many with en-suite facilities.
We have created a unit that provides a safe environment for people with dementia. Doors leading from several parts of the home lead to a lovely secure garden with seating areas where residents and visitors can stroll, or sit safely enjoying the surroundings. There are raised beds and areas where residents can participate in light gardening.
The homes activity lounge is used daily for residents to enjoy a variety of stimulating activities that promote fulfilment and friendship. Visitors are welcome at anytime and the home is involved in the local community. We aim to treat everyone as an individual with dignity, respect and encourage them to make the most of there stay with us. We believe it is important to keep active and to make the most of every day. Events at Nightingale House include visiting singers and entertainers, a weekly programme of varied activities, bingo, craft sessions and outings are arranged to places of interest.
Residents are able to personalise their rooms, you may choose to make Nightingale House your permanent home or stay with us on a short-term basis.
Nightingale House is led by an experienced and qualified manager who is supported by a team of staff committed to the Halcyon Philosophy. All staff participate in the homes training programme and personal development scheme. Every effort is made to provide person centred care to meet each residents needs and preferences. Nightingale House provides a home where residents are helped to retain independence and be involved in their care. The emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life.
Meals are created by our own catering team. Fresh produce is used and residents are involved in developing menu choices. Beverages and snacks are available at any time. Meals are served in the dining room and can be taken in your own room should you choose. Individual diets and personal preferences are catered for.
