Overview
Alexander House is a small residential care community, with a maximum capacity of just 20 residents. We create a feeling of true community, where each person feels known as a unique individual.
Our home is located in the heart of Wimbledon Village, with its unique shops a short walk away, and Wimbledon Common a short drive away. The garden is an outstanding feature of the home, with its own summer house, sensory plant beds and an impressive Cedar of Lebanon tree. A wide range of activities take place here during the warmer months.
Built as a family home in the early 20th century, the care home was founded following a donation to the National Free Church Women’s Council in the 1940s and named Alexander House in honour of Lady Alexander, a past Council president. We’re proud to continue serving our community today as part of Keychange, a Christian charity.
Andrea Howell Jones is the Registered Manager: "I have over 15 years' experience working in the care sector, starting in domiciliary care before moving into residential care. I realised that I enjoyed this type of work, and felt great satisfaction whenever I left work for the day. Alexander House is a great place to work, staff are eager to learn, and it is not just a job for them"
If you have any questions, or would like to have a look around our home, please do get in touch - we'd love to chat with you! Call us on 020 8946 7147 or email alexanderhouse@keychange.org.uk
