Overview

Rathmore House is a quality care home with specialist care for people living with dementia, accommodating 20 residents.

Situated in a quiet residential street in the Swiss Cottage district of Camden, Rathmore House is an ivy-covered, Grade II listed Edwardian building with an attractive landscaped front and back garden. A renovation in early 2014 transformed the interior of the home, which now boasts contemporary furnishings, stylish print wallpaper and state-of-the-art facilities.

Rathmore House offers its residents an inspirational life, filled with meaningful activities and supported by care staff committed to C&C's Principles of Care, which promise respect, independence and dignity. A Tovertafel table is also available which aims to improve the well-being of elderly people living with dementia.

The focus is on an ‘Out Not In’ approach that looks holistically at both mind and body acknowledging that engagement with society and nature is key to experiencing life. It uses everyday events to stimulate and maintain cognitive function and uses retained conditioned behaviour as a tool to encourage engagement and reduce anxiety.

Rathmore House a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
