Overview

Devonshire House is our specialist brain injury rehabilitation service in Manchester, accommodate 24 people.

Our home boasts a wide-range of amenities, including a fully equipped gym, communal spaces, sensory garden and domestic laundry space to promote independent living skills. We also benefit from dining room spaces, therapy rooms, two training kitchens and more.

We have eight active rehabilitation beds and eight long-stay beds, all on the ground floor. These 16 bedrooms are spacious, decorated tastefully, and have wheelchair accessibility. Four of the bedrooms are also fitted with a ceiling track hoist. Each bedroom has a bed, wardrobe, wall mounted TV and USB points, desk and chair, as well as WiFi access in every room.

The service also has eight self-contained transitional apartments on the ground floor, perfect for those looking to take the next step in their rehabilitation journey. Designed in a contemporary style, each flat contains a wet room, bedroom and kitchenette. Each apartment comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe, wall mounted TV and USB points, desk and chair, as well as WiFi access. The apartments have a separate entrance from the other wings to encourage independent living.

As well a range of in-house activities, such as craft sessions, music therapy or sensory sessions, we also encourage the people we support to become active members of the community. This includes visiting local shops and cafes on a regular basis, looking for volunteering opportunities and attending courses at local colleges and libraries.
