Overview
Woodbury is a 'home from home' service which aims to support our guests to maintain their independence as much as possible when they come to stay with us.
There are many reasons you may need to stay with us, such as respite for your family or carer, convalescence, during house renovations or awaiting homecare services to start, for assessment or simply for a holiday and to have some fun.
It has an exclusive but friendly boutique feel and has an accessible garden which guests researched, designed and helped to implement. The dining and living area has also had a refurbishment and redecoration which includes a fully accessible door into the outdoor space. It's open to adults over the age of 18 with a learning disability and/or physical disability and those with autism, on either a planned or emergency basis.
There are skilled staff on site 24/7 to ensure that all your personal care and wellbeing needs are met, as well as giving you the chance to connect with others through in-house and community activities and trips out and about.
During your stay we will manage your medication and nutritional needs (all special diets can be catered for) and help to build your self care skills such as cooking, or even gardening! We will also liaise with district nurses and social workers, support you to attend day services and give you advice, information and signposting to other professionals or services. We also provide an assessment service for those who are new to the service.
Woodbury Short Stay has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
