Overview
Named after the Willow tree that grows in its grounds, Willow Tree House is located less than a mile from the centre of Mansfield, with all its shops and amenities. Since 1998 it has offered its residents high quality care and accommodation in a warm and relaxed setting. The home provides for those people who still wish to be independent as well as those who may need a little more attention and looking after. We have been and remain proud to be very much part of the local community and look forward to continuing to care for its residents for many years to come.
All the staff at Willow Tree House work really hard to create an environment where our residents can enjoy life to the full. People who visit always comment on what a happy home it is, and one that has a strong community atmosphere, making the home a special place to live. We want everyone to feel part of a loving and caring community where nothing is too much trouble. This is not only comforting for those who live at the home but also offers peace of mind to relatives and loved ones.
Every day at Willow Tree House brings something different to be involved in. We plan activities to match our resident’s interests, be that having a game of dominoes, doing puzzles, playing cards, joining in a singsong, or perhaps taking part in some gentle exercise. As well as our in house events we regularly organise trips out so that all our residents are able to still feel part of the vibrant community that surrounds the home. Sometimes this may involve going as far afield as the peak district, on other occasions it may be as simple as a shopping trip into the town centre or a trip to the local pub. Whatever a resident’s interests we are sure there will be something for them to take an interest in and enjoy.
Willow Tree House is able to accommodate fifty-five residents in en suite bedrooms that are light, bright and individually decorated. To make their room their own home from home, residents are encouraged to bring in their own favourite possessions, perhaps some treasured photos, or a special chair they have enjoyed sitting in for many years. We want everyone to feel they are truly at home.
There are several sitting areas and individually styled lounges, so there is plenty of choice for residents who want to sit and relax or perhaps have a chat. We also have quieter areas for those moments when someone wants some time to themselves, or perhaps to meet more privately with family and friends. Complementing the home’s interior is a lovely outdoor patio area, that is fully enclosed so that everyone is safe at all times. Here we have a number of raised flowerbeds that contain lovely floral displays throughout Spring and Summer. When the sun shines it becomes a real suntrap and our residents can top up their tans.
Delivery good quality care does not happen by chance. At Willow Tree House we have an experienced staff team who have all been chosen not only for their professional experience but also for the warmth and compassion of their personalities. We want everyone to feel they are being looked after with dignity and respect and that their wellbeing is our top priority. It goes without saying that all our staff are committed to making sure that time spent with us is as happy as possible.
We believe that mealtimes and good food are important. Lunchtime is often when friends get together for a chat, and it can be a lively time with the constant bubble of conversation. All our food is cooked using good quality ingredients and we work hard to produce a balanced and nutritious menu. We also recognise that everyone likes a treat and so if there is something a resident particularly fancies, perhaps an old favourite, then our cooks will do their best to put it on the menu.
We hope that you will enjoy a visit to Willow Tree House and we are available at any time to help you with making the right care choice for you. Please do not hesitate to call us and ask for our help.
