Overview

Don't just stay, live life at Clovelly!
Established in 1984, Clovelly House is a long-standing provider of quality care to the Fenland community, providing an unwavering commitment to supporting the vulnerable elderly since 1984.
We are a small care home providing high quality, personalised care, seeing the individual as a person and not a number. Throughout Clovelly House we make every effort to make our home your home and working for you, the individual is at the centre of all that we do.
Personalised & Informed
Our residents are cared for by a small, well-trained, close knit group of carers who know our residents very well. We prioritise this personal 1-1 care by ensuring high staffing levels are maintained at all times, resulting in a high quality of care. Further to this, all resident care plans are person centred, focusing on each individual's needs and desired outcomes. They are updated by carers, to ensure that the most up to date information is recorded and used to ensure the best possible outcomes for our guests.

Getting to know our residents, understanding where they have come from, their hobbies, interests and life experiences, is an important part of our care plans and we work with our residents and their families to create a detailed life history which helps us to tailor their life in Clovelly House around something familiar and reassuring.

Clovelly House's personal touches do not stop there, we are happy to individualise a resident's room, from a preference of colour to photos of their favourite football team or pictures from towns or countries of their youth,

Clovelly House makes every effort to make our home their home!

Engaging and Fun
Not just bingo!

Clovelly House as a care home prides itself on thinking of both traditional and unusual ways to keep our residents both engaged and entertained. We regularly host coffee mornings, fetes, singers, exercise classes, arts and crafts afternoons, but then throw in a touch of the unusual with visits from exotic animals, falconry displays, panto groups, an outing to the local pub, walk around the market or visits to places further afield are all in the years calendar.

Keeping the mind and body active is so important and cannot be underestimated for the holistic and positive impact it can have, so we do invest a lot of time into making sure our residents are having fun and doing things they enjoy. But if a cup of tea and a chat is more your thing or even a snooze by the fire, that's just fine with us, the choice as ever is entirely theirs!

Beyond this, we actively encourage our residents to pursue any interests and hobbies they had prior to coming to Clovelly House and provide support to encourage this.
Tasty and Homely
Food, glorious food!

Clovelly House prides itself on the home cooked food it delivers. Our cooks freshly prepare the food we serve on the day every day, providing a full choice of breakfast, a two-course lunch, tea and supper. We like to host our residents in the dining room for lunch and tea if possible, allowing our staff to offer silver service, ensuring residents choose exactly what they want and how much they would like every day.

We aim to give our residents a range of traditional homemade food which is tasty, fresh and locally sourced, with seasonal changes making dining at Clovelly House a pleasure that all can enjoy. Please see below for a sample menu:-
Our Care Home Manager: Kim Marshall

Kim Marshall is Clovelly House’s registered Home Manager; working in health and social care for over 23 years, she has a wealth of experience that she has brought with her to Clovelly House. Since joining our team Kim has organised a number of new initiatives which highlight the person-centred care she is driven by, setting up postcards of kindness, tea towels from around the world, Santa Claus on Christmas day and many more! It is this thoughtfulness and caring attitude backed up by her knowledge of the industry which makes her a great addition to the Clovelly team.

We have a "GOOD" CQC rating. Check out our report at www.clovellycare.co.uk
