Overview

St Michael's Nursing Home is a nursing home in the Westgate-on-Sea area of Margate, which can accommodate just under 65 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.

At St. Michael’s, we are part of the vibrant Thanet community and enjoy getting involved whenever and wherever we can.

Our community here canvases the eastern area of the county, encompassing Westgate-on-Sea, Canterbury and the surrounding villages, along with Sandwich, Herne Bay and Broadstairs, as well as more locally in Margate.

It has good travel links with a bus station and a train station close to the home. A supermarket, bank, cinema and pub can also be found in the area.

You can enjoy St Michael's Nursing Home's garden or spend time in the lounge or dining room. This home offers its residents indoor activities, daily newspapers and a hair salon. There is a lift, ground floor rooms and wheelchair access in addition to wifi throughout the home and a post service.

Mealtimes are often the highlight of the day due to the opportunity to socialise with other residents and staff, and enjoy tasty, freshly prepared food.

With three meals available each day (plus unlimited snacks), our meals are balanced and adjustable for each residents’ specific dietary needs. Our seasonal menu changes weekly, meaning residents can try something new; however, our chefs are happy to take requests if there’s a particular favourite dish that’s not on the menu!

Activities are an essential part of the home, as our residents socialise with other friends and enjoy a rich lifestyle of weekly, creative events. Activities are shortlisted for residential and nursing residents so that each resident can participate in activities suited to them and their abilities.

As well as our daily activities we have regular visits from entertainers, and even host a bi-monthly family party – always a popular event with our residents.

Pets are welcome to visit throughout the home and in rooms.
