Overview
Woodlands is a home in the Acklam area of Middlesborough, which can accommodate up to 14 people we support - it has an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC. We provide care and rehabilitative support for people with Acquired Brain Injuries and other needs including challenging behaviour and mental health needs.
Our focus is providing person-centered support, using Goal Attainment Scaling where appropriate, so people build on their strengths and increase their independence. We supported people's rehabilitation by offering a wide range of therapies, specific to individual needs, such as speech and language, Neuro-physiotherapy, Neuro-occupational therapy, Psychology input and creative therapies. We also have a dedicated therapy room with equipment including a treadmill and exercise bike.
We offer a range of activities within Woodlands, such as music, art and life skills, so people we support follow their interests, as well as activities and trips in the community. Outdoors, we have a large rear garden and a separate Mindfulness garden where people we support can grow plants.
