Overview
Welcome to Cedars Care Centre in Barnet. This large, detached, traditional home offers 24-hour specialist care to those over the age of 18. The home is fortunate to have a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. While specialising in Dementia care, they offer long-term, palliative, respite and post-operative care.
The well-maintained home comprises 35 single bedrooms and 5 companion rooms for couples wishing to share, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. They welcome and cater for live-in small dogs and cats as well as visiting pets. While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms allow residents to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or recline in front of their favourite films. The day rooms look out over beautifully landscaped gardens and French doors open onto the terrace allowing safe, ease of access.
At Cedars, the team encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include garden tea parties, barbecues and arts/crafts. Within the garden, there is a raised vegetable patch offering the opportunity to ‘grow your own’. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether having a manicure, visiting the cinema or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and a local park all within a short distance.
