Overview
Roselands Residential Care Home is a home in the area of Norbury, which can accommodate 18 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia and mental health needs. It is registered for under 65 years old and for above 65 years old.
Roselands is a private care home registered for 18 persons who require nursing or personal care. Roselands is located on the north side of Stanford Road, Norbury just to the east of the junction with Oakhill Road and within about 100 metres or so of the junction with London Road A23 to the east.
Roselands comprises of a terraced three-storey building, plus basement, which was converted many years ago from two private houses into a residential care home. The second floor accommodation was converted for use by residents about 14 years ago with a passenger lift installed at the same time.
The building is thought to have been built in the early part of the 20th century and is constructed of brick with part pebbledash and part rendered elevations under a pitched roof covered with tiles.
The property has 18 residents bedrooms currently used as 14 singles and 2 doubles, none with an ensuite facility. Roselands’ has two large sitting rooms and dining areas, so there is choice and variety for a service user to relax in and quiet areas for space and privacy. The basement is used for laundry and storage.
We continue to value each and every individual, who comes to live at Roselands. We welcome applications from any person who requires accommodation and suffers from mental health illness. Roselands does not provide nursing care. All residents are assured that they will be treated with respect and dignity according to their individual needs and wishes.
People who enquire about our accommodation and services are provided with a brochure. All inquirers are made aware of our diversity and anti-discriminatory policies and are encouraged to visit the place before continuing with their application. They may then apply directly for a place at Roselands, although most applications follow an assessment of need made by the local authority social services. This includes an assessment of their financial circumstances, which will determine any funding to which they may be entitled as a contribution to the costs of their accommodation and care.
Each application is given careful consideration by the home's management and, depending on vacancies, a decision to offer a place is made within seven days. Where there is no current vacancy it is possible for an applicant to be placed on a waiting list.
